Over the past decades, our department has expanded and advanced significantly in clinical service, teaching, and research, pioneering various subspecialties. We are deeply proud of our leading role in patient care, teaching, and research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Hong Kong, and we now reflect on our achievements, acknowledge our predecessors, and chart a course for continued innovation and excellence.

This centenary is not only a time to look back but also an opportunity to look forward. It is a chance for us to reconnect, share knowledge, foster collaboration, and celebrate our collective accomplishments. We are honoured to welcome distinguished speakers and participants from around the world, providing a unique platform for scholarly exchange, inspiring collaborations, and building a shared vision for the future of women’s health.

To commemorate this milestone, we are organising a series of celebratory events under the theme “G.R.O.W.”, reflecting our commitment to advancing a global perspective in Reproduction, Obstetrics, Oncology, and Women’s health.

These celebrations aim to bring together our esteemed colleagues, beloved alumni, dedicated supporters, and the wider community to raise awareness and understanding of women’s health issues. We have curated a range of activities:

• G.R.O.W. Webinar Series: Featuring prominent experts to share the latest developments and breakthroughs in our field, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. 
• Logo Design Competition: Inviting participation from all sectors of society to visually represent the legacy and future of our department. 
• Centenary Theme Song: Creating a special song to commemorate our journey and inspire future generations. 
• Commemorative Book: Producing a treasured book to document the rich history of our department.
• Walkathon: Aiming to raise awareness of women’s cancers; proceeds benefit the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.

The highlight of our centenary celebrations will undoubtedly be the HKU O&G Centenary Conference. This prestigious event will bring together leading experts, both local and international, to discuss cutting-edge research, clinical advancements, and innovative approaches to women’s healthcare. The celebrations will conclude with a Gala Dinner, a special occasion for us to reunite with friends, mentors, and colleagues – all those who have been part of our department’s extraordinary journey.
